Congratulations!
Baltimore Lab School has recertified as a Maryland Green School! The Maryland Green School award represents a school-wide commitment to environmental literacy that includes staff, students, and the community.

3rd application Recertifying as a Special Education Green School

*Please take a quick look at the application linked above.  Just take a glance, the application is very long and requires many forms of documentation and details!

Documenting and organizing our green school efforts is a volunteer position and I wanted to inform everyone that Doug Dows and his High School Green Team will be documenting our green school efforts into the future.  I will continue to assist and I hope many others will volunteer!

Have a nice Bay!

Lower School Virtual Zoo Visits

"Over the past month, students in the lower school have been lucky to enjoy three virtual field trips to the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore.  During these sessions, students learned from zookeepers about the special traits of small animals (prairie dogs, turtles, and penguins), the strength of unusually large animals (elephants, ostriches, and giraffes), and the amazing abilities of animals with "super powers" (eagles, otters, and cheetahs).  We appreciate the time and expertise that the zoo staff members shared with us, and the thoughtful questions that our students asked about each of the animals.  Hopefully, we'll be able to visit the zoo in person again soon!"

    Student Reporters

“Hello I’m Josh Mace. I’m a freshman at the Baltimore Lab School. Ever since I was a little boy I’ve been drawn to the water, and the animals that make it their home. Through Baltimore Lab School’s partnership with the Chesapeake Bay Foundation I have enjoyed learning more about how I can help the bay! In my spare time I like to take pictures and spend time with my friends and family."
